Dinara Alieva

Dinara Alieva was born in Baku (Azerbaijan) and studied piano and singing at the music academy in her hometown. She began her career at Baku Opera, where she was a permanent ensemble member from 2002 to 2005. She has won various international singing competitions, including the Maria Callas Competition in Athens and the Francisco Viñas Competition in Barcelona. She has been a member of the ensemble of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow since 2010. Her repertoire includes roles such as Leonora ("Il trovatore"), Violetta ("La traviata"), Micaëla ("Carmen"), Liù ("Turandot") and Tatjana ("Eugene Onegin"). Guest engagements have taken her to the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Frankurt Opera, the Stuttgart State Opera, the Klagenfurt Theatre, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and Opéra de Lyon.
