Jessica Poppe

Jessica Poppe studied at the Basel Music Academy and later in Freiburg. She is currently studying towards her Masters degree at the University of Performing Arts in Frankfurt and holds scholarships from the Rosenberg and Zerweck Cassela Foundations. She has received master classes from Brigitte Fassbender, Anne Le-Bozec, Helmut Deutsch and Axel Bauni. She made her debut at the 2017 Bad Vilbel Burgfestspielen as Marcellina in the children's opera "Figaros Hochzeit". She sang the role of Ciesca in "Gianni Schicchi" at the Theater im Hof in Kandern and was also involved as a choral intern at the Theater Freiburg. Previous performances in Wiesbaden include Søren Nils Eichberg's world premiere opera "Schönerland", followed by Turnage's "Anna Nicole". This season, she returns as Craker Sacagawea in Eichberg's new opera "Oryx and Crake".
