Julian Culemann

Julian Culemann studied at the renowned Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and has since worked as actor and musical performer. He gained his first stage experience as a student at the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen and the Bielefeld Theatre, among others. In 2011 he was awarded first prize in the musical / chanson category at the German National Singing Competition in Berlin. Further engagements have taken him to the State Theatres in Darmstadt and Braunschweig, the Friedrichstadtpalast in Berlin, the theatres in Heidelberg and Pforzheim, the Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern and the Düsseldorf Tonhalle. His musical repertoire includes roles such as Tony in "West Side Story", Claude in "Hair" and Clifford Bradshaw in "Cabaret", a role which he recently portrayed at the 2021 Eutin Festival. In addition, he performed the role of Armand in the German premiere of Michel Legrand's "Marguerite" at Staatstheater Saarbrücken in 2019.
