Born in Russia in 1984, Kostia Rapoport has been living in Germany since 1990. He trained as Classical and Jazz pianist, and between 2003 and 2009 studied contemporary music composition at the University of Music and Theatre in Hannover, the Central Conservatory of Music in Peking and the CNSM in Paris. He composes digitally-influenced music, working on remixes, film and stage music, sound installations and audio plays. He also performs keyboard and laptop electronics as soloist, in bands, and in improvisation projects. He has collaborated with Jan Philip Gloger on numerous occasions, composing the music for his production of Elfriede Jelinek’s “Winterreise”, amongst others.
