Born in Dortmund, Mirko Roschkowski’s first engagements took him to Bremerhaven, Düsseldorf/Duisburg and Bonn. Since then, guest appearances have taken him to the Semperoper Dresden, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Staatsoper Stuttgart, the opera houses of Cologne, Leipzig and Chemnitz, the State Theatres of Wiesbaden, Nuremberg, Augsburg and Kassel, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Graz Opera, the Mörbisch Lake Festival and the Volksoper Wien.

After initially focusing on the great Mozart tenor roles, his repertoire has expanded to include many of the great French and German roles such as Lohengrin, Max ("Der Freischütz"), Hoffmann ("Les contes d'Hoffmann"), Énée ("Les Troyens"), Faust, Don José ("Carmen") Tito ("La clemenza di Tito"), Tamino ("Die Zauberflöte") and Idomeneo, as well as Benvenuto Cellini, Gérald ("Lakmé"), Erik ("Der fliegende Holländer"), Claudio ("Das Liebesverbot"), Hüon ("Oberon"), Boris ("Katya Kabanova"), Prince ("Rusalka" and "Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen") and Lenski ("Eugene Onegin"). In addition, he has appeared in a number of rarely performed works, such as "Li Tai Pe" by Clemens von Franckenstein, "Fernand Cortez" by Gaspare Spontini and Gluck's "Iphigenie in Aulis". His repertoire also includes numerous operettas, such as "Der Zigeunerbaron" (Barinkay), "Die Fledermaus" (Alfred), "Madame Pompadour" (René), "Der Bettelstudent" (Symon), "König Karotte" (Fridolin) and many more.

His broad concert and song repertoire regularly takes him to important venues such as the Cologne Philharmonie, the Konzerthaus Dortmund, the Beethovenhalle and Beethovenhaus Bonn, the Essen Philharmonie, or the Musikforum Bochum.

Previous production in Wiesbaden include "Katya Kabanova", "Idomeneo" and "La clemenza di Tito", amongst others. In 2023.24, his appears in the title role in a new production of Wagner's "Lohengrin".
