Daniel Luis de Vicente

Born in Florida, USA, Daniel de Vicente studied at the University of South Florida. Guest engagements have taken him to the Teatro La Fenice, Teatro Del Monaco Treviso, Teatro Verdi Trieste, Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, Opera Tampa and the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara. He has worked with conductors such as Maurizio Barbacini, Fabrizio Milani, Andrea Albertin, Daniel Lipton, Rodrigo Tomillo, Arno Hartmann and Steven Sloane. His repertoire includes title roles in Verdi's "Rigoletto" and Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi", as well as Leporello in Mozart's "Don Giovanni", Gil in Wolf-Ferrari's "Il segreto di Susanna" and Marcello in Puccini's "La Bohème". He made his German debut in 2016/17 with the Bochum Symphony Orchestra, followed by a concert at the 2017 Darmstadt Residence Festival. During the 2017/18 season, he performed the title role in the German premiere of Manuel Penella's opera "El Gato Montés" at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, followed by his house debut at the Tiroler Landestheater as Paolo Albiani in Verdi's "Simon Boccanegra", a role which he also sang at Staatstheater Mainz. Following his return to the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern in 2019/20 as Giorgio Germont in Verdi's "La traviata", he appeared as Michele and Gianni Schicchi in Puccini's "Il trittico". In 2020/2021, he made his Wiesbaden debut in Uwe Eric Laufenberg's new production of Puccini's masterpiece and returns to Wiesbaden in the 2021/22 season for the revival.
