Beau Gibson

Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, American tenor Beau Gibson has been working as a professional opera singer in Europe and the USA for two decades. After completing his master's degree in music at Rice University, he was engaged at various renowned opera houses in the USA, including Chautauqua Opera in New York, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Wolf Trap Opera in Washington DC and Los Angeles Opera. He has also appeared with the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington DC, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Boston Symphony Orchestra at the Tanglewood Music Festival. Has was a finalist at the 2011 George London Vocal Competition.
Beau Gibson made his German debut in 2011 Pizzetti's "Murder in the Cathedral" at Frankfurt Opera, where he was member of the ensemble for four years and subsequently gave more than 140 performances in 28 operas. He appeared at the 2018 International May Festival in Camerata Nuova's production "Vom Ende der Unschuld". This season, he returns as Zinoviy in Shostakovich's "Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk".
