Cornelia Beskow

Swedish soprano Cornelia Beskow studied in Copenhagen and Stockholm. She was awarded numerous prizes during her student years, and won four prizes at the 2017 International Lauritz-Melchior Singing Competition. In 2012 she made her debut as Zlatohřbítek in Janáček's "The Cunning Little Vixen" at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen. In 2015 she made her debut as Donna Elvira ("Don Giovanni") at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, soon followed by further appearances as Sieglinde ("Die Walküre"), Tatjana ("Eugene Onegin") and Chrysothemis ("Elektra"). She sang her first Senta ("Der fliegende Holländer") in Malmö in 2018/19, and was a guest at the Vienna State Opera in 2019/20 as Elsa ("Lohengrin") and Freia ("Das Rheingold"). She makes her Wiesbaden debut in 2020/21 in the title role of Shostakovich's "Lady Macbeth of Mzensk".
