Arguably the most timeless vampire film every made, "Nosferatu" celebrated its premiere in March 1922. To mark the 100th anniversary, a performance of the restored version will be presented at the Caligari FilmBühne in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Institute Cologne, with live music provided by
L'Arsenale di Treviso (Italy).
A young couple lives peacefully in the small town of Wisborg. Disaster ensues when the husband has to travel to Transylvania on business to visit Count Orloc.
"Nosferatu" is a darkly poetic film – a milestone in film history – which still stuns on the big screen today and puts many subsequent attempts to shame.
