Levi Hammer appears regularly as symphonic and operatic conductor, concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and art song collaborator. The American has been based in Germany since 2016, where he first worked at the Komische Opera Berlin and later conducted various opera and ballet performances at the Wiesbaden State Theatre. In 2018, Hammer joined Barbara Hannigan’s Equilibrium Artists, working alongside Hannigan with orchestras and projects in Munich, Stockholm, Paris and Hamburg. Important recent projects include "Die Dreigroschenoper" at the Berliner Ensemble and a recital with bass-baritone Douglas Williams at the Dialogues Festival of the Mozarteum Salzburg. In 2021 he joins the music staff of the Aix-en-Provence Festival for a new production of "Tristan und Isolde" conducted by Simon Rattle and directed by Simon Stone.
