Matthew Swensen

Tenor Matthew Swensen made his European debut in a concert with the Bavarian Radio Orchestra in Munich. He made his operatic debut as Tamino at Frankfurt Opera, where he remains a permanent ensemble member. He also enjoys a busy career as concert performer. During the 2020/21 season, Swensen made his debut at La Scala, and also performed with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and the Sinfonica de Galicia, amongst others. Noteworthy performances include his appearance as Ferrando in a new production of Mozart's "Così fan tutte" under Zubin Metha at the Maggio Musicale Firenze. This season, he graces the Wiesbaden stage as Tamino in "Die Zauberflöte".
