The Masters programme "Spiel und Objekt" (Performance and Objects) investigates contemporary theatrical happenings within the context of representation, objects, new media and social structures. Objects are as much part of our everyday lives as the people around us. Since the dawning of the "Internet of Things" era, we have had to renegotiate our own roles amongst smart phones, self-driven cars and automated vacuum cleaners.
For FutureLAB, programme graduates will develop a game with the working title "Random Acts of Vulnerability", with the aim to investigate the issues facing our communities during times of uncertainty. Which objects are particularly important to us during challenging times? Which ones define us? Which ones foster community and which break it down? A joint experiment around issues of social coexistence.
