Italian tenor Massimo Giordano regularly appears on the world's biggest opera stages, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opéra National de Paris, the State Opera Houses of Vienna and Berlin, as well as at the Salzburg Festival. In Wiesbaden, he takes the stage as Cavaradossi in "Tosca" at the 2020 International May Festival – a role which he has recently sung at the Seoul Arts Centre, the Stuttgart State Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, the Vienna State Opera and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Further notable roles include Verdi's Don Carlos and Alfredo ("La Traviata"), Pollione ("Norma"), Massenet's Werther and Don José ("Carmen"). Massimo Giordano studied flute and voice at the Conservatorio di musica "Giuseppe Tartini" di Trieste. In 1997 he won the competition of the Istituzione Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto "Adriano Belli", soon followed by debuts at La Scala in Milan in Verdi's "Il Giorno di Regno" and at the Salzburg Festival as Fenton in "Falstaff".
