Gregory Kunde

Born in America, Gregory Kunde is one of the most sought-after heroic tenors on the circuit. He studied both conducting and singing at the Illinois State University and made his debut at Chicago Lyric Opera. His career has since taken him to some of the most important opera stages of the world, including the Metropolitan Opera New York, La Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House London, Opéra National de Paris, as well as the opera houses in Barcelona, São Paolo, Bilbao, Valencia, Florenz, Zurich, Amsterdam, Munich and Vienna. His wide repertoire includes large roles such as Roberto Devereux, Andrea Chenier and Idomeneo, Rossini's und Verdi's Otello, Manrico ("Il Trovatore"), Radames ("Aida"), Raoul ("Les Huguenots"), Rodolfo ("Luisa Miller"), Arrigo ("I Vespri siciliani"), Riccardo ("Un ballo in maschera"), Don Alvaro ("La forza del destino"), Radames ("Aida"), Vasco da Gama ("L’Africaine"), Faust ("La Damnation de Faust"), Enée ("Les Troyens"), Samson ("Samson et Dalila") and Calaf ("Turandot"). Gregory Kunde makes his Wiesbaden debut in the 2017/18 season as Otello.
