Peter Bording

Peter Bording was born in the Netherlands and studied in Amsterdam and London. His leading roles include, amongst others, title roles in "Il barbiere di Seviglia", "Pellèas et Mélisande", "Rigoletto" and Werner Egk's "Peer Gynt" in Vienna, Graz, Stuttgart, Hannover, Essen, Braunschweig and Amsterdam's Concertgebouw. His extensive repertoire further includes operetta, musicals (e.g. Barrie Kosky's "Kiss Me, Kate" at the Komische Oper Berlin), and contemporary concert works (such as world premieres of works by Peter Eötvös and Michael Jarrell in Paris, Lyon, Geneva and at the Munich Biennale). He performed Kurt Weill's "Der Protagonist"/"Royal Palace" at the Bregenzer Festspiele and has sung Eisenstein ("Die Fledermaus") at the Komische Oper Berlin and in Tokio, a role which he also sings in Wiesbaden this season.
