Due to a very recent injury in the ballet ensemble, tonight's performance will start later than planned. Instead of cancelling the performance, a new dancer is currently preparing to step in at short notice. However, this means that admission can only start at approx. 20:15 – hopefully sooner, if possible.

The performance of OTELLO on 3 February in the Großes Haus has been cancelled. Please contact the Box Office for refunds or exchanges.

The Hessisches Staatstheater will close for the annual summer holiday on 15 July 2023. The Box Office, as well as the Subscriptions and Groups Office will offer a reduced service during this time. Please follow the link below for a complete list of opening times.

Attention: from 8 to 10 June, the annual Wilhemstraße Festival "Theatrium" takes place around the theatre, leading to various road closures and diversions. Please allow extra time for your journey.

The new 2023/2024 season is out now! Advance bookings for all main events in the Großes Haus and Kurhaus – including the "Ring" cycles – open on 27 April 2023.
