Charles M. Anderson

Chicago-based tenor Charles M. Anderson hails from Florence, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Alabama and his Master of Music from Austin Peay State University. An emerging artist with a vibrant, flexible voice and natural aptitude for acting, he has sung a variety of roles, most notably Rodolfo in "La bohème", Romeo in "Romeo & Juliet" and the Witch in "Hänsel und Gretel". In concert, he has been featured as the tenor soloist for the Shoals Symphony Orchestra's performances of Bach's "Magnificat" and Saint-Saëns' "Christmas Oratorio".

In 2023, Charles joined North Park University as a guest artist and performed the role of The Priest in Myers’ chamber opera "Buried Alive". He also appeared in two of The Lyric Opera of Chicago’s productions: "The Factotum" and "Der fliegende Holländer".

He makes is Wiesbaden debut this season as Monostatos in Uwe Eric Laufenberg's new production of "Die Zauberflöte".
