Karin Strobos

Dutch mezzo-soprano Karin Strobos graduated with honours from the Utrecht Conservatory with Yana Diemer in 2007. After completing her studies, she joined the studio of the National Opera in Amsterdam before appearing regularly at Opera Zuid, the Nederlandse Reisopera and De Nationale Opera Amsterdam. This was followed by a permanent engagement at the Aalto Theatre in Essen, where she sang important leading roles such as Mozart's Donna Elvira, Dorabella and Idamantes, as well as Charlotte in "Werther", Rosina in "The Barber of Seville", Adalgisa in "Norma" and the title role in "Der Rosenkavalier".
