Despite criticism from the Israeli Ministry of Culture, actor and human rights activist Einat Weizman's "Palestine, Year Zero" has been performed in Israel, Tokyo and India several times. George Ibrahim, actor and director of the Al-Kasaba Theatre in Ramallah, received the Best Actor award at the AKKO Festival in Israel for his performance. The play is set in the office of a Palestinian real estate appraiser dealing with homes destroyed by the Israeli armed forces.

A provocative evening of theatre dealing with a highly topical, complex conflict.
