Anton Keremidtchiev studied in Sofia and Rome, and subsequently performed at the Verdi Teatro in Trieste, Opéra de Bastille Paris and in Moscow. Following several years of permanent engagement in Darmstadt, he guested as Pizarro (“Fidelio”) at the Komische Oper in Berlin, as Escamillo (“Carmen”) and Jago (“Otello”) in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Mannheim, as Rigoletto at the Volksoper in Vienna and as Simon Boccanegra in Prague. He performed the roles of Klingsor (“Parsifal”) and the King's Herald (“Lohengrin”) at the Wagner Festival in Wels, Austria and sang Telramund (“Lohengrin”) in Basel and Graz. Previous appearances in Wiesbaden include Jago ("Otello"). He returns this season as Giorgio Germont in "La Traviata".
