Elisabeth Richter

Costume Designer
Born in Leipzig in 1977, Elisabeth Richter completed her training and professional studies in Berlin, gaining her first professional experience through traineeships at the Volksbühne, Komische Oper and Berliner Ensemble. Between 2004-2008 she was active in a variety of assistantships, amongst others at Theaterkunst GmbH in Berlin, the Dresden State Theatre, the Tyrol Festival in Erl, Theater Kiel and Theater Regensburg. From 2008-2014 she worked as freelance stage and costume designer for opera, drama and ballet at a variety of German houses (e.g. in Braunschweig, Dresden, Hamburg, Leipzig and Kiel), as well as further afield in Europe (e.g. Vienna, Bern and Copenhagen). In 2014 she was appointed 1st Costume Assistant & Deputy Manager of the Costume Department at the State Theatre of Wiesbaden. During the 2015/2016 season she will design the costumes for "Hexe Hillary geht in die Oper" and "Die Irrungen der Liebe".
