Olga Shaishmelashvili

Olga Shaishmelashvili has been active as Stage and Costume Designer at various Russian theatres, with productions such as “Rusalka” (2012) at the Mikhaylovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, as well as “Madama Butterfly” and “La traviata” at Perm Opera (2014) under her belt. She worked as designer for the Astana Ballet Company in Kazakhstan (with regular appearances at the Mariinsky Theatre) and in 2015 her costume designs for Vasily Barkhatov’s “Khovanshchina” graced the stage in Basel. Working with Barkhatov once again, she designs the costumes for “Die Soldaten” in Wiesbaden this season.
