Ruth Staffa

Soprano
A native of Wiesbaden, Ruth Staffa initially studied Fine Art at the University of Arts in Berlin as master pupil of Rebecca Horn, and finally singing in Leipzig. She made her operatic debut at the Schloss Rheinsberg Kammeroper in the title role of “Ariadne auf Naxos”, followed by engagements as Tosca (Cottbus) and Sieglinde (“Die Walküre”, Graz). She was an ensemble member at the State Theatre in Mainz from 2011 to 2014, where her repertoire included the title roles in “Elektra” and “Tristan und Isolde”, as well as Amelia in “Un ballo in maschera”.  This season, she will be on stage as the Overseer (“Elektra”) in Wiesbaden.
