Valdemar Villadsen

Danish Tenor Valdemar Villadsen was a student at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen until 2012. He made his operatic debut at the Royal Danish Opera House in Copenhagen in 2012 in "Narcissum" by Yuri Possokov. He has since been active throughout Europe, in roles such as Almaviva in "Il barbiere di Siviglia" at the Rossini Festival in Italy, Apollo in Cavalli's "Gli amori d' Apollo e di Dafne" at Teatro Principal de Burgos in Spain, Ferrando in "Così fan tutte" with the Copenhagen Symphony Orchestra, the tenor part in a staged version of Bach's "Coffee Cantata" at the Copenhagen Opera Festival, as well as the lead role in the world premiere of the opera "Bittersweet" by Siegumfeldt/Fundal at the Royal Danish Opera. Valdemar Villadsen has performed in concerts at the Berlin Philhamonie with the Berlin Baroque ensemble, at the Royal Albert Hall (London) with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, at the Heinrich Musikfest Music Festival (Dresden) with the Barockensemble Spielgarten, at the Royal Academy Hall (Copenhagen) with Concerto Copenhagen, and sang the tenor part in Orff's "Carmina Burana" with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra in Norway.
