Drama
Woyzeck
By Georg Büchner
Performed in German
"Every man is an abyss, it dizzies one to look down". Woyzeck is someone who has been pushed to the fringes of society and knows it. Turned into an object of study by academia and humiliated by his superiors, he looks for support and finds none, leaving him at the mercy of his environment's radical lack of empathy. But Woyzeck is not only a victim, he is also a perpetrator. Stefan Pucher, whose productions have been invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen several times, stages Georg Büchner's drama fragment in the Großes Haus and takes a sharp look at our society.
