German-Norwegian mezzo-soprano Lena Haselmann was born in Heidelberg. Guest engagements have taken her to the Berlin State Opera, Gothenburg Opera, Teatro Comunale Bologna, the National Opera of Denmark, the Kunstfest Weimar and the Schwetzinger Festspiele. In recent years, the interpretation of contemporary works has become a focal point of her repertoire. Lena Haselmann has appeared in numerous world premieres, including Jürgen Flimm's production of Salvatore Sciarrino's "Ti vedo, ti sento, mi perdo" at La Scala in Milan. She hold a doctorate degree and is a lecturer at the Hochschule für Musik Saar, where she dedicates herself to the training of young singers. During the 2018/19 season, Lena Haselmann sang Paquette in the revival of "Candide", as well as Annius in the new production "La Clemenza di Tito". This season, she returns to Wiesbaden as Shelley and Marshall Family in "Anna Nicole".
