Leo McFall won the 2015 German Conductor Prize (Deutscher Dirigentenpreis) and was a finalist in the 2014 Salzburg Festival/Nestlé Young Conductors Award. He studied in Oxford, Helsinki and Zurich, and has conducted the Vienna Philharmonic, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg, the RTVE Orchestra Madrid, as well as at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, amongst others. He has worked extensively at the Glyndebourne Festival and is Assistant Conductor of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. He has been first Kapellmeister of the Meiningen State Theatre since 2012 and will conduct “Otello” and “Falstaff” in Wiesbaden this season.
