Slávka Zámečníková

Slovak soprano Slávka Zámečníková has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Berlin Staatsoper under den Linden since September 2017 and is a scholarship holder of the Liz Mohn Culture and Music Foundation. During the 2017/18 season, he roles included First Lady ("Die Zauberflöte"), Flora Bervoix ("La Traviata") and Miss Jessel (Britten's "The Turn of the Screw"). In the coming seasons, she will sing Drusilla ("L´Incoronazione di Poppea"), the Voice of the Falcon ("Die Frau ohne Schatten"), Rosina ("Die Verlobung im Kloster" by Prokofiev) under Daniel Barenboim, Countess Ceprano ("Rigoletto"), the huntress in "Hyppolite et Aricie", under the musical direction of Simon Rattle, and First Lady ("Die Zauberflöte"). Slávka Zámečníková completed her vocal studies at the Bratislava Conservatory and is currently continuing her postgraduate studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. She has garnered numerous prizes at singing competitions, most recently 2nd prize at the 2018 Federal Singing Competition in Berlin and 1st prize at the International Competition "Accadenia Belcanto 2018" in Graz. In 2016 she received the 3rd Prize, Audience Prize and Deagu Opera House Prize at the Otto Edelmann International Singing Competition in Vienna. Guest engagements have taken her the Czech National Theatre in Prague, the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava and to Hamburg. This season, she makes her Wiesbaden debut as Ilia in Mozart's "Idomeneo".
