Johannes Summer

Johannes Summer was born in Vienna, where he graduated from high school in 2016, with a focus on music, dance, drama and art. He performed in the children's choir of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at the early age of ten in the Vienna Stadthalle. From 2017 to 2018, he appeared in Vienna and on many other stages in the German-speaking world in the touring production of "Ruth - Das Familienmusical". In addition to his artistic training at school, he received singing lessons from André Bauer, Patricia Nessy and Katja Reichert and took part in various dance projects. He performed community service with the KISI association in Austria, where he worked with children as choir director, singing and acting coach. He appeared as Papageno in "Die Zauberflöte" at the 2020 St. Gilgen Children's Music Festival and in summer 2021 he was part of the ensemble in "Chicago" at the Staatstheater Augsburg open-air stage. In autumn 2021 he appeared in "Hairspray" at Staatstheater Nürnberg. Johannes Summer has been studying musical theatre at the August Everding Theatre Academy since 2019 (singing with Monika Lachenmeir).

This season, he appears as Young Ben in a new production of Stephen Sondheim's musical "Follies" at Staatstheater Wiesbaden.
