Gloria Rehm

Soprano
Since the start of her professional stage career 2011/12, Gloria Rehm has established herself as a lyrical coloratura soprano on stages such as the Cologne Opera, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Semperoper Dresden, the Frankfurt Opera, the Volksoper Vienna and the Bavarian State Oper. She was an ensemble member at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden from 2014 to 2019, where her roles included Gretel ("Hänsel und Gretel"), Oscar ("Un ballo in maschera"), Fiakermilli ("Arabella"), Adele ("Die Fledermaus"), Queen of the Night ("Die Zauberflöte"), Konstanze and Blonde ("Die Entführung aus dem Serail"), Musetta ("La Bohème"), Adina ("L'elisir d'amore") and Woglinde ("Das Rheingold" and "Götterdämmerung"). She drew particular attention for her portrayal of Marie in Zimmermann's "Die Soldaten" at the 2016 International May Festival, a performance for which she received the FAUST Prize in 2017.

In 2017, Gloria Rehm appeared as Blonde in Frankfurt and as Queen of the Night in Vienna and Heidelberg. In addition, she stepped in at short notice to sing Konstanze in Dresden and Frankfurt; similarly as Zerbinetta in Düsseldorf and Ännchen in Heidelberg. She made her house debut at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich in 2018 (as Fiakermilli), and sang Blonde at the Semperoper Dresden in the same year. This was followed in 2019 by Zerbinetta at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, as well as debuts in the title role of M.F. Lange's "Schneewittchen" at the Leipzig Opera and Ophelia in Brett Dean's "Hamlet" at Cologne Opera. In 2020 she sang Blonde at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Gloria Rehm has won prizes in numerous singing competitions (including first prize at the Richard Strauss Competition in Munich) and has received several nominations as "Young Artist of the Year" by the "Welt am Sonntag" and "Opernwelt" magazines.

This season, she returns to Wiesbaden to grace the stage as Inanna in Jörg Widmann's momentous opera "Babylon".
