Born in Perth, Australian mezzo-soprano Louise Fenbury completed her vocal studies at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). During her training, she sang Hermia in Britten's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", Five Mezzo Roles in Koehne's "Love Burns", Elizabeth Proctor in Ward's "The Crucible" and Mere Marie in Poulenc's "Dialogues des Carmélites". Soon thereafter, she was engaged as Young Artist at the West Australian Opera and made her Australian debut as Lola in Mascagni's "Cavallaria Rusticana". This was followed by Orlovsky in Strauss's "Die Fledermaus" and Pitti-Sing in Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Mikado". She also sang Mercedes in "Carmen" and Cherubino in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" for West Australian Opera and Autonomous Productions. In Sydney, Ms. Fenbury made her debut with Opera Australia singing Hansel in Humperdinck's "Hansel and Gretel" and Dodo in Lehár's "The Merry Widow". She was a finalist in several prestigious competitions, including the Australian Singing Competition, the Joan Sutherland Vocal Scholarship and the Opera Awards. This earned her a place on the Britten Pears Young Artists Programme in Aldeburgh, where she appeared as Newspaper Vendor in Poulenc's "Les Mamelles de Tirésias".

In the 2016.17 season, she made her German debut at Staatstheater Mainz as Hermia in Benjamin Britten's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". She also sang the role of Mercedes in Bizet's "Carmen" at Opera Classica Europa in Wertheim Castle. This was followed by her debut at the Frankfurt Chamber Opera in the concert series "Callas, natürlich" and "Überich und mich", as well as the role of Dama in Verdi's "Macbeth" for the summer open-air opera in Frankfurt's Palmengarten.
