Erik Biegel

Erik Biegel studied at the Frankfurt College of Music and Performing Arts. During his studies, he regularly performed at the Frankfurt Oper as member of the Early Music ensemble "Opern-Companie Febi Armnici". Previous roles in Wiesbaden include Hauptmann ("Wozzeck"), Monostatos ("Die Zauberflöte"), Knusperhexe ("Hänsel und Gretel"), Mime ("Das Rheingold"), David ("Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg"), Dr. Blind ("Die Fledermaus"), Spoletta ("Tosca"), Goro ("Madama Butterfly"), Guillot ("Manon"), as well as Composer in the world premier opera "Schönerland". Guest engagements have taken him to Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Saarbrücken and Maastricht. While an ensemble member at Oper Bonn, he sang roles such as Wenzel ("Die verkaufte Braut") and Pedrillo ("Die Entführung aus dem Serail"). Erik Biegel became a permanent member of the Staatstheater Wiesbaden ensemble again in 2018/19 and made his role debut as Baron Koloman Zsupan in "Countess Mariza" in 2019/20. Recent roles in Wiesbaden include Basilio ("Le nozze di Figaro"), Chekalinsky ("Pique Dame") and Shepherd ("Tristan und Isolde").
