Against the backdrop of the Fluxus movement's 60th anniversary in 2022 and as part of the "2023 Cultural Summer", the choreographic works in this Fluxus edition of "Startbahn" are inspired by the art movement of the same name. The Fluxus movement created a sensation across all genres in the 1960s and challenged the conventional concept of art by emphasizing the creative process over the finished product, while at the same time bringing art and life together. In this production, the dancers of the Hessian State Ballett explore the full artistic spectrum of this avant-garde movement and the artists associated with it, such as John Cage, Yoko Ono, Wolf Vostell and Nam June Paik. In addition to performance within the theatre, "Startbahn Fluxus" will also feature at various other institutions and public spaces across the City of Wiesbaden.
