Jim Lucassen

Jim Lucassen was Assistant Director at Dutch National Opera, Opéra National de Paris and Dutch Touring Opera. In 2008, his concept for “Rigoletto” was nominated for the “RING AWARD” international stage directing competition. This was followed by productions like “Così fan tutte” at the Opéra National de Lorraine, “Werther” at the Landestheater in Salzburg, Dvořák’s “Rusalka” at Oper Frankfurt, “Rigoletto” and “Ariodante” in Essen. In addition, he designed the sets for “Orfeo ed Euridice” at Oper Frankfurt / HfMDK Frankfurt, as well as “Un ballo in maschera” in St. Gallen. In Wiesbaden, he directed “L'elisir d'amore”.
