Maria Rebekka Stöhr

German-Mexican mezzo-soprano Maria Rebekka Stöhr made her operatic debut at Carnegie Hall in New York and at the Schwetzinger Festspielen in 2004. She took master classes from Hilde Zadek, Brigitte Fassbaender and Martina Arroyo, amongst others, and has had greet success with roles such as Carmen (role debut in 2009 at the Schlossoper Haldenstein), Angelina ("La Cenerentola" under Alessandro DeMarchi in Weikersheim), Dorabella ("Così fan tutte"), Sesto ("La Clemenza di Tito") and Penelope ("Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in patria", at the Städtischen Bühnen Münster). Concert appearances have taken her to the Zurich Tonhalle, Liederhalle Stuttgart, Tonhalle Dortmund, Laeiszhalle Hamburg and Beethovenhaus Bonn. In 2016/17, she appeared in Wiesbaden as Grimgerde in "Die Walküre" and now returns as the Fortune-teller "Arabella".
